When and where was your first regatta?

My first major competition was the French minimes championship at Carcan Maubuisson in 1992. I finished 6th and I have fond memories of it because, for a guy from the east of France who grew up on an inland lake, it was a good result.

The tactical move you're most proud of?

It was at the 2014 World Championships, which I won in Santander. I raced according to the week's weather forecast. My aim was to place in the top "pack" (in the top 5 in the provisional rankings) at the end of the qualifying phases and then have 2 big days placed on the finals days.
My plan worked perfectly and I won this World Championship by quite a few points.

Your biggest problem?

At the 2015 World Championships in Oman. I was glued to the water all week in very typical wind conditions (8-11 knots). I was fighting against myself first and foremost, because deep down I hated not having been able to express myself normally at this World Championship, which was also the only selection event for the Rio Olympics.

The race anecdote that always makes you laugh?

I don't see...
